Wallbit and Santander Alliance to Bring Dollars into Your Bank Account

In this article, we’ll show you how Wallbit and Santander’s partnership makes it easy to move your dollars into your bank in Argentina.

Wallbit and Santander Alliance to Bring Dollars into Your Bank Account

At Wallbit we’re always looking for ways to offer better, more useful solutions to our customers. That’s why we partnered with Santander so you can bring your earnings into the country as a service exporter taxpayer—directly in dollars, faster and at a lower cost!

This offering was developed for service exporters who need an end-to-end financial solution: remote workers, freelancers, content creators and any other service exporters.

Now, in addition to receiving international payments through your U.S. account, you’ll be able to deposit your funds into the official banking system and access local benefits, operating with confidence and peace of mind.

The initiative couldn’t come at a better time: the annual $36,000 cap on crediting foreign currency in the local market was recently removed, so service exporters now have an easier, less restricted path to invoice their export services.

With this new partnership, Wallbit reaffirms its commitment to delivering top-tier operational solutions to customers. You can learn more about the offering on Santander’s dedicated web page for this alliance.

Benefits of the Wallbit–Santander partnership

This partnership is aimed at Wallbit and Santander customers who export services abroad: freelancers, developers, designers and content creators, among many others, will be able to bring in their dollar earnings via MLC as taxpayers, with banking backing and lower costs than other market options.

The technical integration between our platforms lets you deposit your income directly into a Santander dollar savings account. You’ll gain access to banking benefits and transaction traceability: you’ll be able to see the payment’s journey from the Wallbit App to the credit appearing in your Santander account.

Funds are credited through an international transfer using Santander Argentina’s SWIFT code. That said, Wallbit handles the entire process together with Santander so you can track the transfer and receive it as quickly as possible.

Thanks to our developers’ nonstop work, the end user doesn’t need to manage codes or complex SWIFT steps: the platforms are integrated so the banking mechanics are optimal, simplifying the actions the user must take.

This reduces delays and operational costs from traditional SWIFT transfers. Practical benefits of the alliance include:

  • Convenience for the service exporter. You’re paid in foreign currency and can keep the dollars in your local account.
  • Transparency and visibility. The transfer doesn’t “disappear” among intermediaries; it can be tracked and validated at every step.
  • Lower operational cost. Platform integration minimizes the operation’s cost.
  • Compliance. The operation is designed to work within the MLC framework and the service export regime.

Why bring your dollars in via MLC as a service exporter?

Thanks to the tireless work of both institutions, the joint Wallbit–Santander solution guarantees efficient handling of clients’ cross-border transfers. This delivers full financial integration: from dollar management with all the international features Wallbit offers, to local bank benefits with Santander’s trust.

With this partnership, you get full integration of your finances—from managing your dollars internationally with all the features Wallbit offers, to handling your local funds with the trust and reliability of Santander.

This integration takes advantage of the service export regime, which allows professionals to bring in foreign currency earned from exported services without the immediate requirement to convert it into pesos, while also benefiting from a simplified tax framework.

In addition, the proposal benefits from a recent measure by the Central Bank of Argentina (BCRA) that removes the previous annual cap of USD 36,000 for fund accreditation. This change improves the conditions for crediting funds through the official MLC (Free Exchange Market) channel.

The Wallbit–Santander alliance stands out as an effective way to take advantage of this framework, providing greater speed, traceability, and institutional support for transactions.

How to receive money from abroad

The partnership was designed to reduce steps and friction in crediting funds to your account. In general, the flow is:

  1. You receive the payment into your Wallbit account in the U.S.
  2. In the app, go to “Send Money” and choose the direct withdrawal to Santander under the concept “Export of services” (export of services).
  3. Link the CBU of your Santander dollar savings account (if you don’t have an account, you can open one via the link provided in the app). The system validates that the account is in your name.
  4. Confirm the amount and the operation.
  5. Wallbit sends the funds and Santander notifies you by email when it receives the transfer (this can take between 1 and 3 business days).
  6. In your online banking, go to “International payments” (incoming international payments) and locate the pending operation. You must settle it under the concept “Services” and attach the corresponding invoice.
  7. If the settlement is done before 3:00 PM, the funds are credited the same day. If not, they are credited the next business day.

That’s it!

What Is the Service Export Regime?

The service export regime is a tax framework that allows professionals providing knowledge-based services to clients abroad to receive payments in foreign currency and benefit from simplified taxation.

The main aim of this regime is to promote and formalize the inflow of foreign currency earned by Argentinians working for international clients, under a simplified system that enables them to operate legally without being required to convert their dollars at the official exchange rate, while also enjoying significant tax relief.

How Do I Register as a Service Exporter?

Registering as a monotributista (self-employed under Argentina’s simplified tax system) or as a registered taxpayer (responsable inscripto) is necessary to take advantage of the benefits of our partnership with Santander.

The registration process is done online through the AFIP/ARCA portal using your CUIT (tax ID) and Clave Fiscal (tax password). The procedure is relatively straightforward. These are the steps to follow.

If you find the process complicated, if you lack experience with it, or if you don’t have time, we recommend consulting our partner Lannis: they’re accounting assistants specialized in remote work and export of services.
